Update #4: Alright, this may get complicated so here we go; try and follow me here. I have now submitted a total of 55 queries. I received 16 rejections out of those 55. Another 15 of those 55 are over two months old and I have not received a reply back which means the agents have most likely passed on my project. This brings me up to a possible 31 rejections. The other 24 queries have been sent within the last few days. Here's where it gets a little complicated. I have recently went through and edited and refined my manuscript. I think it's much better now than it was only two months ago. I decided to take a leap of faith and resend to all 16 agents who originally rejected it and those other 15 who never responded. This could either be a great thing for me when they notice my persistence or a bad thing when they simply get annoyed. Either way I'm back up to 55 queries floating around out there and am pretty much back at square one. I will let you know how many more rejections I get or if I get any takers. Optimism and persistence! My two best traits!
Update #3: I haven't submitted any queries in awhile and out of the original 19 I submitted I was up to 9 rejections and 2 requests for half of my manuscript. The other 8 queries haven't been replied to, yet. I decided it was time to send some more and get it out to more agents. Today I sent 9 more queries out and will be sending another 9 out tomorrow. Hopefully something stems from this. So in perspective, 9 rejections out of 38 and 2 interests, but 9 of those were just now sent out. More updates coming. Wish me luck.
Update #2: Now it's up to six rejections (still not bad), two requests for part of my manuscript (which I think is awesome), and eleven that haven't responded, yet. Still optimistic and I'm sending more queries out sometime this week. Just have to find the right agent; it only takes one.
Update #1: So I've sent 19 queries out and received three rejections. So far not so bad in my opinion. Will keep everyone updated of course.

RELEASE DATE: In progress
Prequel or Sequel?
Hi there. As you all know, I just signed a publishing deal for my book which should be released sometime by the end of 2013. I haven't been contracted to write another book, but I've been strongly urged; especially if it's related to my current novel. Here's my question, should I write a prequel or a sequel?
I have ideas for both, but am not sure which direction I should go in. I am curious as to which readers enjoy more? As a reader myself, I prefer sequels, because I find prequels a boring lead up to characters already established. In my book, however, I never established my main character; he's pretty much a mystery and almost nothing is
Book Contract
Just signed a book contract! That's right, folks! My novel will be seeing the light of day after all! I got an amazing offer from some amazing people that I just couldn't turn down. They believe in my work just as much as I do and are very supportive. After a hundred rejections, I managed to snag that one yes! The one that counted!
I never thought I'd say it, but I understand what every author says now. I was told that there's only one publisher for your book and you have to drown in the muk before finding the gem. It's true. I got turned down by a lot of publishers and agents that I really had my heart set on, but I wouldn't trade my publi

Yep as Jello said, only takes one, I know from sister, you really have to be super patient and persistent, it weeds out the people that expect it to be easy though I guess!
